Care and Feeding

It is important to remember, our Sherpas are people, not pack mules and therefore there are some laws and requests that we must insist our customers adhere to.

  • Abuse of ANY kind, whether verbal or otherwise, will NOT be tolerated. If a Sherpa feels they are being abused in any way, they follow a two-step process. 1. They let the customers know they are feeling abused. If that is not remedied, they move to step two. 2. They place your items on the nearest table, bench, ground … and leave.
  • Since you will be freed up from the burden of carrying all your belongings, this may free you up to “run’ to your next fast pass. This does not mean your Sherpa can run with you. Tell your Sherpa where you will be heading, and he or she will meet you there.
  • For every four (4) hours of service, our Sherpas are required to take a 15-minute break. It is encouraged that the customer purchases their Sherpas one of their favorite snacks at this time. Although not required, it is a common courtesy that virtually all our customers enjoy doing.
  • For every eight (8) hours of service, it is REQUIRED that the customer purchase a meal for their Sherpa. This can be a quick service meal and does not have to utilize your dining credits. Some customers actually invite their Sherpa to a sit-down meal, as it seems, after the first few hours of total freedom from “things”, they realize the benefit and have usually grown a connection to their Sherpa. (There is an extra snack/dining plan that can be purchased if required)
  • Sherpas will NOT do anything of the sexual nature. Suggestions, even in jest, may lead to termination of contract and police involvement.
  • Your Sherpa will also pick up and deliver food to your room from any property restaurant. So if you plan to dine-in, but want a meal from City Walk, or Disney Springs, they will go and get it for you. (Note: If the Sherpa is required to purchase the food, there will be an additional 8% surcharge)
  • If an infant or baby is part of your trip, Sherpas are not required to perform any duties such as feeding, changing of diapers, or caring to a infants needs other to watch them in the event you and the rest of your party wish to indulge in a ride.
  • Don’t overwork your Sherpa. There’s no need to bring the entire refrigerator from your hotel with you.
  • Heat kills. Remember Sherpas are allowed their breaks but in the event, they are feeling strained they may request additional breaks due to weather, or excessive loads. It is required that you honor these requests. Again, they don’t have to be by your side the entire time, and this should not interfere with your vacation plans.
  • Non-Park days. Our Sherpas are lovable people. If you are planning a non-park day at your hotel pool, feel free to offer them an invite. This is not part of any package and no cost to you, but remember, when invited they are a guest and not an employee at that time.
